WHEN PROFITABILITY MEETS SUSTAINABILITY
A MODERN TECHNOLOGY
Our patent pending process was developed and tested on a laboratory scale by Mohamed Khalil (CEO of Pyrocycle, PhD candidate, Department of Chemical Engineering at Polytechnique Montreal) and Prof. Jamal Chaouki, and now ready to be tested on a pilot scale.
EMISSIONS ARE MASSIVELY REDUCED
The environmental impact of our process was assessed in 2019 by Oxia-initiative, as part of the autumn cohort of the Ecofuel accelerator.

Pyrocycle's process, on the other hand, avoids all acidic SOx emissions and reduces massively carbon dioxide emissions by treating plastics chemically and not thermally. This is the biggest step forward, our biggest feature.
RECOVERY OF PLASTICS

Our technology is scalable; we first tested our technology to recycle printed circuits, then we adapted it to recycle other types of plastics such as acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), impact polystyrene (HIPS), and polymethacrylate from methyl (PMMA).
RECOVERY OF METALS
Our solution is cost effective, as it allows us to decontaminate and transform plastics in electronics into value-added products, as well as recover precious metals such as gold, and other rare earth metals (such as magnets from hard disks), while minimizing their losses.
